Fellow Brewtopians,
The November meeting this past weekend was monumentous. First, congratulations to
Whaler for winning the 2011 Upstate Brewtopian of the Year. Over the past year, he
has embodied the enthusiasm, passion for brewing and helpfulness to his fellow brewers
that we strive for in the club. He'll represent us well with the fancy-
Also, congrats go out to Buddy for winning the November Open Challenge with his first ever beer, a bourbon oak stout. It's one hell of an accomplishment to win an award with your first ever brew. I know his first was a lot better than mine, so here's to many more even better beers to come! We shall all benefit.
December Meeting Date Change
Please note that the date of the December meeting has changed! It's now Saturday, December 3 at Arizona Bill's. Directions will follow via this very same email the week before the meeting.
There is a lot going on in the December meeting. It's the Chili Cookoff, so dust off Grandpa's recipe book and bring out your finest chili to take the title for this year. It's also a Challenge Month, and Jeff has laid down the gauntlet with wood. So if wood is in any way involved with the brew, enter it into the competition with a chance to win the pendant and the opportunity to call the next challenge for March.
Not only do we have chili and wood, but December is also the unofficial Pumpkin Challenge.
No prize goes to the winner but pride. Danny is no longer here to defend his title
as undefeated 34-

Sushi Night, this Thursday
Some of us shall be gathering for sushi night at Sushi Murasaki downtown at the corner of Main and Washington this Thursday, November 17. We'll meet around 6:30. Oh, and it's Brewboy's birthday :)
