| UpstateBrewtopians! | January 2009 | | | | January's meeting, the long awaited, annual mead meeting, will be hosted by our very own GP Emeritus on January 10th. The meeting will start at around 2:00 PM. Please bring all your meads you've been brewing for the last year and beyond. I know last year there were several vintage meads from the 90's if I remember correctly and they were especially good. We also did a large mead brew last year and I am curious if GPE will let us taste some. Please bring bag chairs as the seating will be limited. GPE has requested that he know how many meads will be brought and by whom. There is a thread located on the forum HERE for that purpose. You are also welcomed to bring any beers you may have been brewing as well. The menu has not been set in stone yet, but it could be some type of stew. Please bring the usual assortment of appetizers, finger foods, and snacks. Directions:
Please email me for directions at admin@upstatebrewtopians.com PLEASE NOTE: There will be some business matters that need to be presented before the club, so please make every effort to show up on time. | | | | BOURBON BARREL MEAD: As we have discussed on the forum, and in past meetings, we are planning to do a group mead brew. Take a look at your calendars, and come to the meeting on Saturday with an idea of when would this brew fit in with your schedule. Obviously, we won't be able to accommodate everyone's schedule, but hopefully we can find some middle ground. | | | | NEW YEAR: I hope that each and every one of you and your families had an enjoyable holiday season. We have had some great times in 2008 and I'm am excited to get 2009 underway. As you can see under the upcoming events, we have 2009 lined out. Some of the dates are tentative, and for those whose hosting date is such, please firm up a date as soon as reasonably possible. | | | | YET ANOTHER SAUSAGE FEST: There is some talk of a 2009 sausage fest, much like we did last year. It was great fun An enjoyable way to spend the day stuffing sausages with friends. For those who are interested, stand by for more details | | | | Keep Brewing Brewboy-IP |
